Front Desk Social Host @ The Salty
Locations: Cascais, Ericeira, Peniche (Portugal) & Hiriketiya (Sri Lanka)
The Role
As a Front Desk Social Host, you’ll be the first smile our guests see and the last “see you soon” before they leave. You’ll help create the warm, welcoming vibe The Salty is known for — making sure check-ins are smooth, questions are answered and every guest feels at home. Beyond the desk, you’ll bring the social energy, help organise daily activities, and keep the community spirit alive.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome Guests: Handle check-ins, check-outs, and be the go-to person for questions big or small.
- Keep Things Flowing: Support reception tasks, emails, bookings, and admin with a calm, organized approach.
- Daily Life: Help coordinate yoga, surf lessons, hikes, and group dinners so guests have an easy, enjoyable stay.
- Hospitality Touches: Jump in where needed — from light housekeeping to breakfast service and kitchen support.
- Community Spirit: Promote and join extra activities, beach clean-ups, and local experiences that bring people together.
- Upselling & Bookings: Share and arrange extras like hikes, tours, rentals, and classes in a natural, friendly way.
What We’re Looking For
- Guest-First Attitude: You genuinely enjoy connecting with people and making them feel welcome.
- Hospitality Experience: You’ve worked in guest-facing roles before and know how to deliver great service.
- Problem-Solver: Quick thinker, adaptable, and calm when things don’t go to plan.
- Communicator: Fluent in English (other languages are a plus). Friendly, clear, and approachable.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with email, bookings, and social media.
- Team Player: Happy to collaborate, support your crew, and jump into different tasks when needed.
