The Role
Food, friends, and flow — that’s the vibe we’re serving. As a Food & Beverage Teamer at The Salty, you’ll help us fuel our guests with fresh, simple meals and create a warm, welcoming dining experience. Think tacos, quesadillas, sourdough pizzas, group dinners, and sunny breakfasts — tasty, unfussy, and full of good energy.
Whether you’ve worked in kitchens before or you’re just excited to learn, this is your chance to be part of a supportive, international team while living in some of the world’s most beautiful surf and yoga spots.
What You’ll Do
- Prep & Serve: Help prepare our daily menu plus group dinners like BBQ nights or Tapas & Wine evenings.
- Breakfast Vibes: Assist with setting up and serving our daily breakfast buffet.
- Keep It Fresh: Maintain a clean, organized kitchen with high standards of hygiene.
- Stay Stocked: Support with food supplies and inventory checks.
- Guest Connection: Chat with guests at our open kitchen — your smile is part of the experience.
- Team Spirit: Collaborate with retreat managers and the wider crew to make sure everything runs smoothly.
What We’re Looking For
- Hospitality Heart: You enjoy making people feel welcome through food and service.
- Kitchen Comfort: Previous kitchen or service experience helps, but enthusiasm and a positive attitude are key.
- Fast Learner: Adaptable, flexible, and ready to pick things up quickly.
- Good Communicator: Fluent in English; other languages are a bonus.
- Detail-Oriented: Cleanliness and organization are your strong suits.
